Self Appraisal

A little boy walked into the pharmacy to use the phone. As he did, the store-owner observed and listened to the conversation.

"Excuse me," the boy said into the phone ," Can you give me a job cutting your lawn?
.
..
...
" I already have someone to cut my lawn," the woman on other end said.

..
...
" But I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now," the boy said.
.
..
...
" I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn," the lady said.
.
..
...
" But I'll even sweep your curb and sidewalk," the boy said ."you'll have the prettiest lawn in town."
.
..
...
" No, thanks you," The lady said.
.
..
...
Smiling, the boy hung up. The store owner , who listened to the entire conversation approached the boy.

" I like your attitude," the owner said." I like that positive spirit . Would you like a  job here?"

" No, thank you," the boy said.
.
..
..
" But you were just pleading for one," the owner said.
.
..
...
" No sir," the boy said ." I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady  I was talking to!"

..
...
This is what self appraisal means.
Every time we think of comparing ourselves to others, we should compare ourselves to our own self instead.
Only then we can we grow as people!
